About The Artist
Edmund Blair Leighton was an English painter who lived from 1852-1922. His focus was on painting scenes from history, especially those from Medieval times. He studied at the Royal Academy of Arts. Eventually, the Academy invited him to exhibit there. He continued to do this throughout most of his life.
